Adult Kyu Grades | Junior Kyu Grades | Dan Grades
The core requirement and additional are the skills you are required to demonstrate to a reasonable level of excellence to achieve that grade level. You are also expected to be able to demonstrate earlier requirements to a high level at any point.
Therefore to grade to green belt (6th kyu) you need to demonstrate Sanchin and Hachi Danken. You should also be able to demonstrate any earlier requirements (Basic Sparring Method, ChoKyu etc.).

The new grading curriculum for black belts splits each dan grade into a number of years, allowing students to focus on specific requirements in each year. Obviously all the learnt skills will need to be perfect when the grading time comes around.
